We Welcome Our New Colleague Haroon Sam
At the European Steel Registry, Mr. Sam works on the central database for European steel grades and serves as the point of contact for experts from industry, standardization, and research. In this role, he will manage the Steel-Iron List and maintain the database based on standards and mill submissions. Best of luck with this task and a warm welcome to the VDEh team!
Haroon Christopher Sam: “I am thrilled to begin my new journey at the VDEh Steel Institute! With my background in metallurgical research at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials and at thyssenkrupp Steel, as well as practical experience in corrosion protection at Henkel, I am now bridging the gap to the strategic level of standardization. Quality assurance and the transition to a green steel industry are more important than ever - I look forward with great anticipation to the collaboration and upcoming projects for a sustainable future.
